The Sheffield Antiques Quarter is to the South of the City, along the A621 and surrounding roads. This vibrant ‘Up&Coming’ destination has 8 Antique Centres and over 60 independent Shops, Bars and Cafes as well as its very own Auction Gallery. It’s a unique quarter of the city with something for everyone and a great destination for Sheffield and for shopping ‘Local and Independent’.
Here you can find authentic period antiques, affordable traditional furniture, retro collectables, vinyl, vintage clothing, upcycled shabby chic as well as local artwork, handmade crafts, tons of local artisan produce and ‘Made In Yorkshire’ foods and beers. There are architectural and reclamation yards if you are looking for that particular piece to finish your space as well as interior design services and advice. In addition most repair, reclamation, clearance or valuation services can be sourced in the quarter using local specialists.

Short of Time! – Best Days to Visit the Quarter!
If you haven’t much time and you want to make the most of your visit then the majority of our
Antique & Vintage Centres are open 7 days a week from about 10.30am-5pm (although times may vary). Be warned many of the smaller independent businesses tend to be shut on Monday and Sunday and some are open by appointment only or from Wednesday to Saturday. So to guarantee the shops you want to visit will be open please check their website listing which is updated regularly and our leaflet has full times for all individual businesses.
Unique Local Independent Shops, Fabulous Cafes & Tearooms
There are over 200 dealers with items ranging from fine silver, porcelain and jewellery to curios, collectables, bric-a-brac and all points in-between. There are numerous cafés within the Quarter serving excellent food, an award winning delicatessen and coffee shops, and for those who’d prefer something stronger, a recently refurbished Victorian pub serving good food, fine ales and 100 different whiskies!
The Quarter takes in Abbeydale Road, Broadfield Road, parts of London Road and Queens Road and is easily traversed on foot. There is a pleasant riverside walk alongside The Sheaf and so much to do and see that it’s easy to spend an entire day in this buzzing, cosmopolitan area. A 10 minute drive will take you out into the delights of Derbyshire and the Peak District which should round off your day nicely.
The Quarter is all about local independent people, business and community and by becoming part of the antiques quarter you become part of a vibrant and unique area of the city that heralds local and independent as something great for Sheffield. Our membership is open to businesses and traders based in the quarter and throughout the city whose activities relate to our core themes of ‘Vintage, Retro, Arts, Crafts, Antiques & Salvage’. So if you cant find what you are looking for in the quarter we can point you in the right direction.
We also welcome membership from local Cafes, Bars, Restaurants and Artisan producers in the quarter as well as Specialist Service providers across the city. So, whether you are a local Micro Brewery, city Pickle Maker, French Polisher, Silversmith or Classic Car Restorer you can become part of the picture. In addition, under our ‘Shop Local’ banner we want to offer 10% trade discount to all of our members to shop in the quarter and are encouraging every local businesses to join us.
The quarter is a great destination for the city and our website is fast becoming a vital resource for discovering what Sheffield has to offer. In this vein, heritage, art and our community play a big part in what we value. Consequently, membership is offered to artists involved in our art trail, wider city galleries as well as heritage attractions and, as part of our commitment to local partnership and cohesion, to community groups to help locals to ‘Tap into our Community’.
