Simon Kent – Secret Garden Doors @ Lowfield School

Despite no longer existing we are adding these to the trail as we will with all those that may disappear over time. Irrespective of this fact they still existed and at one time were part of it. The time put in by artists and the money to pay for paint was still well spent. These 2 door ways were painted at the start when our art projects were gingerly emerging and these set the scene for the start of our plans to glue the area together with art. Here the savagely, breeze-blocked doorways of the Victorian toilets that might lead to the playground of Lowfield school cried out to become some secret garden trompe-l’œil. Thanks to Norman Salt and Rita Stephens for their generous contribution to materials.
