If you’ve been before you’ll know we have a fascinating mix of reclaimed and recycled furniture, timber and homewares, a great cosy cafe with a wonderful log fire, fresh delicious snacks and drinks, great evening events and bags of art and craft by local exhibitors. And if you haven’t been before I’ve just spoiled the surprise!
We are a social enterprise, which means we aren’t looking to make money for ourselves out of this – we are using any profits to provide work opportunities and training to local youth, long-term unemployed and adults with challenges in their lives. We have plans to spin off various projects in to long-term businesses in their own right and we are doing all of this with stuff that would otherwise have been thrown away!

We are a creative community of makers and doers, all set around a lovely courtyard, on the edge of Sheffield city centre. Our cafe is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm, has free wifi and offers a selection of teas, coffees, home made cakes, pastries and soups – see our Menu.
A relaxed, family-friendly environment, perfect for our community and visitors alike. All of our events can be found on our Events Diary. We are fully licensed and can cater for events, whether in the courtyard, inside Hagglers or we can even deliver to your premises – contact us with your requirements.
Within our walls, we’ve got studio spaces for creative people making beautiful things: designers, dressmakers, jewellery makers, carpenters and craftsmen. It’s a place to learn and do, with space to run workshops and special events. And it’s a place to visit, with our lovely little Kaffihus Cafe, where you can meet and greet and sit with a brew. Market days happen here too to sell all the hand made goodies produced on site. But most important of all, it’s a place where all these things meet. Making and doing and selling and brewing. All spilling into our courtyard.
Welcome to our happy factory.

This small gallery space is based in the Sheffield Antiques Quarter and sells local art and craft work to include ceramics, paint, fabric, wood, print, mosaic, glass, altered arts and jewellery.
The gallery works as a social enterprise and is non-profit-making offering 35 Sheffield artists an opportunity to showcase and sell their work. The space encourages the purchase and appreciation of locally made work and of art and the intention has been to create an intriguing, tactile and accessible space that draws the viewer in to explore in the way that the traditional antiques centre always has.

Opening hours: Wed-Sun 10am-6pm
*Plus look out for evening workshops*
Makers sells interesting things made by local people, but we arrange all the displays and we don’t provide individual units.
We sell interesting things AND we host workshops where you can make interesting things. (And yes, if you like, you can sell the interesting things that you make in our shop!)
We provide a range of workshops: traditional crafts (such as crochet, decoupage, sewing), arts (painting, drawing, photography) and high-tech making (laser cutting, digital images, electronics).
These are just examples – we’re open to much more, supported by our friends.
We have a laser-cutter on site in our Laser Kitchen for group workshops and 1:1 support.
